The project was dedicated to carrying out a series of promotional activities on international volunteering opportunities, the importance of non-formal learning and the acquisition of competences through international volunteering, with a focus on the opportunities for young people to participate in ERASMUS+ programmes. We focused on smaller towns and rural areas in Slovenia and partnered with youth organisations, youth organisations and youth organisations with whom we carried out promotional activities. This was to reach a larger number of young people and at the same time to (better) inform the associated partners about international volunteering, non-formal education and Erasmus+ programmes. Promotional activities were also carried out in Ljubljana, with the help of Young Dragons Institute and TiPovej Institute, where one of the EVS volunteers was active.
The project included both main and complementary activities. The main activities include hosting 8 EVS volunteers, training for promoters of international volunteering, a workshop on learning how to prepare workshops and promotional activities, promotional workshops in Slovenia and evaluation meetings.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
- Promocija (mednarodnega) prostovoljstva kot eden ključnih načinov za družbeno aktivnost in aktiviranje mladih v lokalnem in mednarodnem okolju, s čimer se razvija solidarnost in spodbuja strpnost med mladimi zlasti z namenom krepitve socialne kohezije znotraj Evropske unije.
- Spodbujanje udeležbe mladih v manjših krajih in ruralnih območjih Slovenije v programih mednarodnega prostovoljstva ter v programu ERASMUS+ preko povezovanja z raznimi akterji na lokalnih ravneh, ki delajo z mladimi in za mlade.
- Podpora prostovoljcem pri pridobivanju kompetenc (znanj, veščin, stališč, jezikov) in pri vzpostavljanju mednarodnih stikov, ki vplivajo na njihov osebni razvoj in povečano stopnjo socialne in ekonomske integracije, vključno z boljšimi zaposlitvenimi možnostmi.
- Spodbujanje evropskega sodelovanja na področju mladine in prispevka k razvoju kakovosti sistemov podpore za aktivnosti mladih in zmogljivosti organizacij civilne družbe na področju mladine.

PROJECT RESULTS:
- Hosting of eight international EVS volunteers in Slovenia;
- Two trainings for international volunteer promoters for 28 participants;
- Two workshops for the preparation of workshops and promotional activities for 28 participants;
- 50 promotional workshops on international volunteering and international youth mobility conducted across Slovenia;
- Two evaluation meetings for 28 participants;
- Developed and designed the game “Light Feet Around. Get to know international volunteering”, which encourages young people to participate in international volunteering projects (together with the DICE Institute).
