PROJECT PURPOSE: To revitalise the work of the organisation by improving its IT and digital infrastructure and strengthening its visibility and promotion activities. Supporting inclusion (building bridges), peace and intercultural dialogue.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES: (Re)building the capacity of the organisation, including:
- upgrading the digital infrastructure as a cornerstone of the organisation’s operations, thus supporting work processes such as volunteer involvement and internal staff rotation;
- revitalising ongoing (online and face-to-face) activities in the context of the communication and visibility of the organisation (and consequently the SCI movement);
- holding promotional events on international volunteering (live and online);
- maintaining the relaunch and quality of the Volunteer Club activities and organising regular monthly activities on social and environmental themes in order to strengthen the community of (inter)national volunteers;
- strengthening links with local partners and other SCI affiliates and members by supporting the organisation of volunteer work camps.
TARGET GROUPS OF THE PROJECT:
- young people interested in international volunteering (active and potential volunteers) and
- (NGOs and youth) organisations (at national and international level) involved in the SCI movement.
PROJECT PERIOD: April 2024 – December 2024 (9 months)
PROJECT RESULT(S):
- Steps forward in the direction towards digital transformation of both internal work processes of our organisation and processes (and channels) that provide us contact with our main target audiences;
- Provide clarity regarding additional steps (and additional expert support) needed in order to achieve an optimised and coherent system that will result in relieving staff and prevent potential burnout;
- An additional communication channel for organisation – TikTok – was created, serving as an information link between our existing online platforms;
- Promotional an informational activities on international volunteering (both in person and online) took place, reaching over 2200 people;
- Reusable physical promotion materials (laminated QR codes for main communication channels and relevant online tools, stickers, magnets, pens, pencils, tote bags, unisex T-shirts, USB chargable LED pocket lights, rollup) were designed, created and obtained in order to strengthen the core visibility activities and better promote our organisation;
- Continuation of activities within the Club of Volunteers, including promoting of international volunteering in local community, to students, high schools and local organisations contact with active volunteers;
- A digital booklet of a set of activities, implemented by Club of Volunteers (cycle 2023/24) was created;
- Strengthening link with local partners through support to the organisation of volunteering and regular communication and strengthening the link with SCI branches.
