It is a programme covering the youth sector in the Municipality of Ljubljana. We are also a non-governmental, non-profit organisation in the public interest in the field of youth work.
Through this programme, we provide young people with non-formal learning opportunities, access to new experiences through activities in the local and international environment, with an emphasis on the active involvement of young people in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programme activities, which for them means a strengthening of self-confidence, greater independence, new skills acquired and thus better employment opportunities. By coordinating international volunteering programmes and promoting participation in international volunteering projects as a unique opportunity for lifelong learning, young people learn through non-formal education methods the techniques and tools to participate more actively in international volunteering projects, and how to reflect on and evaluate them during the project and when they return home. In this way, young people strengthen their competences and we help them to make sense of these skills and competences through a variety of tools and methods.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:
- To coordinate international volunteering, with the aim of increasing young people’s non-formal education, social and community engagement, acceptance of difference and intercultural learning in practice, as well as strengthening competences and increasing employability;
- Effective promotion of programmes to involve more young people in an international volunteering programme that promotes intercultural dialogue and youth engagement;
- Coordination and promotion of medium- and long-term volunteering projects abroad, with a view to acquiring competences, work and life experience through non-formal education/intercultural dialogue.
TARGET GROUPS OF THE PROGRAMME: young people aged between 15 and 29 years

EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROGRAMME:
- Continuous coordination of international volunteering and young volunteers, contributing to their integration and enhanced capacities and competences;
- Promotion of international volunteering programmes implemented;
- A certain number of young people involved in medium- and long-term volunteering programmes.
