If you want to host a volunteer under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, Voluntariat can support.
A prerequisite for joining the ESE programme is to obtain the quality label for the role you want:
- hosting role;
- supporting role;
- lead role.
Voluntariat can support you within this process in two ways:
1 – Taking on the role of lead organisation
If we have the capacity (i.e. funding), we can take on the role of lead coordinating organisation and you can host the volunteer in your organisation and/or institution.
For this you will need a quality label for the hosting role, which is approved by the national agency (MOVIT) responsible for the ESC programme in Slovenia with the application form submitted by you.
Once this is arranged, we take care of:
- coordinating the volunteer selection process with you;
- accommodation: we provide decent accommodation for the volunteer;
- pocket money, insurance and food allowance: we ensure that these costs are covered for the volunteer in accordance with the ESE rules:
- mentoring and follow-up: we provide mentoring and support to the female volunteer and ensure that she/he is successfully integrated into your organisation and the local community.
We make the hosting process easier for you by taking care of all the administrative and logistical matters, while you can focus on providing your volunteer with a quality learning experience in your working environment. All you need to do is to provide him/her with a coordinator within the organisation who will support him/her during their work.

2 – Support in obtaining the quality label for role of lead organisation
If you want to become independent in welcoming and hosting ESC volunteers, as an organisation you will need the Lead Organisation Quality Label, which is a prerequisite for applying for funding to run volunteering projects.
MOST Network – which we are coordinating – is able to support you within this process and help you with the initial steps towards obtaining the ESC Quality Label for a leading organisation within your current capacity.
In the framework of the MOST Network, we support you with:
- advice and mentoring support while applying for the Quality Label;
- the opportunity to participate in our training courses.
Twice a year, we organise informational sessions for organisations (keep an eye on our social networks for exact dates).
