We are a non-profit and non-governmental organisation, established in 2000 as a result of the reorganisation of the MOST Association in 1991. We organise short-term and long-term volunteering activities and other forms of non-formal learning with the aim of:
- Development and promotion of intercultural learning, acceptance, and solidarity through international volunteering activities.
- Encouraging people to act as responsible, active, and global citizens in their local communities.
We see international volunteering as a value for personal growth, for the promotion of social and environmental justice, for intercultural learning, for learning for peace and solidarity, as well as a tool for acquiring skills and knowledge.

Our mission is to provide a space for civil society initiatives to develop a tolerant, solidarity-based and inclusive society through international volunteering programs, non-formal education and public awareness activities.
Our vision is a society in which all people actively shape social life and use natural and social resources responsibly and in solidarity.

International voluntary work
We are part of the Service Civil International network
As a Slovenian branch of the SCI network, we promote peace and sustainable development, encourage intergenerational cooperation, social inclusion and other areas of social activation through volunteer programs and other non-formal learning projects. We encourage young people in particular, but also people of all ages and local organisations in Slovenia to participate in our activities, to give them an intercultural flavour and to spread our vision and mission. We help local organisations recruit international volunteers, support them and advise them in organising camps. We support individuals in selecting and joining international volunteering activities and other types of mobility, seminars, workshops, trainings.
Service Civil International (SCI) is an international, peacekeeping, volunteer organisation based on the values of volunteering, non-violence, human rights, solidarity, respect for the natural environment, inclusion and acceptance as well as cooperation and encouragement towards a fairer society and higher quality coexistence of diversity. In light of these values, it also carries out its primary activities – international short-term volunteer work camps.
