We are looking for participants for the youth exchange “Mini Urban Festival” in Ljubljana

We are looking for participants for the youth exchange “Mini urban festival – artistic youth exchange,” which will take place in Ljubljana from May 21 to May 28, 2025 (including travel days). The main goal is to bring together young people from Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, and Ireland to explore and express themselves through various forms of urban art.

During the exchange, you will participate in workshops led by experienced mentors (Mirko – Atila, Žiga Čamernik, Matic Jelčič Kurner – Klan 1107, and others). These workshops will cover the following areas:

  • DJ workshop and rap writing – learning DJ techniques and creating rap lyrics.
  • Dance (hip hop and breakdance) – learning the basics of hip hop and breakdance.
  • Graffiti workshop – exploring street art and practical graffiti making.
  • Public speaking and improvisation – improve public speaking skills through improvisation exercises.

Pričakujete lahko strokovno mentorstvo izkušenih umetnikov, ki vas bodo vodili skozi vsako umetniško obliko. Izmenjava bo vrhunec dosegla z dogodkom, kjer bodo udeleženci lahko predstavili svoje ustvarjanje, vključno z rap nastopi, DJ seti, plesnimi točkami in razstavo grafitov.

You can expect professional mentoring from experienced artists who will guide you through each artistic discipline. The exchange will culminate in an event where participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work, including rap performances, DJ sets, dance spots and a graffiti exhibition.

Participant profile:

  • age between 18 and 27 years.
  • sufficient knowledge of English.
  • willingness to cooperate with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • ability to work in a team.
  • interest in urban art topics (DJing, rap/hip-hop, graffiti, etc.).
  • willingness and ability to adapt based on received information.
  • commitment to full participation throughout the entire 6-day youth exchange.

The workshops and the final festival will take place at different venues in Ljubljana. You will be accommodated in Hostel Simbol.

The project is fully funded by the Erasmus+ programme, which means that accommodation and food costs during the training are fully covered. This includes three meals per day and coffee breaks during the training. If the distance is long enough, travel costs are also covered. Participants arrive on May 21, the program runs from May 22 to 27, and departures are on May 28 or, for Slovenian participants, by agreement.
